Behavioral Wellness (BeWell) Center

We treat each person as an individual.

We help you with self-discovery, and help you get the tools you need to overcome the challenges you are facing.

The first step is to make an appointment for an in-depth assessment to discuss your needs.

Our skilled counselors will work together with you to plan your treatment, discuss program expectations and set the goals that you would like to complete during your time here.

The length of your treatment is determined by you and your counselor, although there may be some instances where a referring agency has guidelines for your treatment program.

Meet Our Team of Counselors

Grizel Cruz, MA, Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Grizel Cruz is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has been with Tampa Crossroads for over 7 years. She is not just a mental health expert, but she also offers specialized grief counseling for those currently experiencing loss or anguish in their lives. Ms. Cruz is bilingual, which allows her to focus on the Spanish speaking population that we serve, offering the same compassion and professionality that our Tampa Crossroads clients have come to expect. When she is not working with our team and clients, Grizel enjoys watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, hitting our local beaches or the Disney theme parks, and enjoying Broadway shows.

Genevieve Pina, MA Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern

Genevieve Pina is a Registered Mental Health Counseling intern, a SMART Recovery Facilitator, RSA Scholar, and has a graduate certificate in Addictions and Substance Abuse Counseling. Ms. Pina started with Tampa Crossroads as an intern in 2018, and returned as a full-time employee in 2019. She brings with her a keen understanding of everyone’s differences and the ability to quickly adapt to the needs of her clients. Ms. Pina is open-minded and motivated to help others make healthy changes in their lives. When Genevieve is not assisting the people we serve, she is running, playing soccer, or spending time with animals.

Brendon Solomon, MA, Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Brendon Solomon started working with Tampa Crossroads as an intern in 2018 while completing his Masters in Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation program at the University of South Florida. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and our resident Court Liaison, Mr. Solomon has a keen ability to build rapport with clients and work with them to see situations from multiple perspectives, which allows them to problem-solve more effectively. When Brendon is not working with the people he serves, he enjoys going to theme parks, watching/playing sports, video games, playing fetch with my cat (yes…he plays fetch!), and spending time with friends and family!
